Eye Care Advice from a Lahore Eye Surgeon

In this Expert Lounge interview, I talk about children’s eye care, FemtoLASIK, diabetic eye care, and how to protect your eyes from screen strain.

What I Talk About in This Video

Screens and your eyes: we blink less when we look at screens, which dries the eyes. I recommend the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
Children’s eyes: never ignore a child’s complaint about vision. More screen time and less outdoor play are raising short-sightedness (myopia) in children.
Regular check-ups: get your eyes checked once a year, especially after the age of 40.
Laser vision correction: it is generally suitable from the age of 18, once your eye number has been stable for 6 to 12 months.
Eye drops: never use steroid or random eye drops without a doctor’s advice. They can raise eye pressure and damage vision.
Diabetes: it can affect the retina over time, so diabetic patients need regular retina screening.
Eye twitching: it is usually harmless and often linked to stress, tiredness or too much caffeine.

Now after 2nd operation need to wear glasses anymore. But My eye sight was good . Now I can see with perfect vision (no glasses). Post procedure is important, make sure to keep up with the eyedrops as prescribed. My mother age 90 plus but she feels well.
